A bit disappointing

We've become interested in birds We have discovered excellent apps for identifying bird calls and bird photos taken on our mobiles and good cameras. I made a bird feeder stand for the garden. I then caught a small deer in my garden munching on my roses. Its probably my own fault. After spending many days trying to decide what to buy as a wildlife camera I lighted on the Green Feathers site,. I had been looking at the many trail cameras advertised across the internet. What they had was great image quality for wildlife pictures but almost all needed the attention of batteries for which many cams expressly advised against rechargeables. And they also operated just to memory cards or direct wifi phone apps. I was looking for mains base power and proper wifi connection for monitoring and image collection indoors. He thing i overlooked about this camera was its low resolution. Looking at video is not very detailed if you zoom in a bit to look at a bird etc. because its such a wide angle. The still images are nothing like what I get for my phone even. And you can't step through the stills in IcSee app. I spent all weekend on this. First took ages to get it to work with icSee in the same room. The instructions don't explain what the setup steps are trying to do. e.g. I later discovered that the camera password is for a username Admin. Found this via other cam sotware. Also what account the username and pw you put in iCSee are for. Then I drilled my patio door frame to pass the wires outside. Now I wanted to see my images and look through them on a bigger screen than my android phone ( Mate 20 pro). We have two PC's and two laptops all runnung linux software. Tried all sorts of complex efforts to use IE on chrome; creating a virtual android box; trying to load icSee and XMeye on a real android box. All either unsuccessful or rubbish applications. only icsee seems to undertand that there's memory in the camera(I bought an ultra micro SD card for it). Finally lighted on Googe Home app on my phone which offers screen mirroring or casting to my smart TV. So at least can use phone and TV to to run iCSee on a proper screen. But the image quality is so disappointing. So that's where I am. I bet you wish you never asked. Wynne Clearly 3 or 4 days of product reasearch by a retired computing, IT, and Media department head with 45 years experience! Caveat emptor of self. You may get multiple copies because there is no feedback after hitting submit as to whether it has gone anywhere or not.

Great piece of kit

Delighted with this camera which is now on the entrance to a honey bee hive. Extremely easy to set up and excellent quality. I would have no hesitation in recommending it. The team at Greenfeathers are also very helpful and quick to reply to questions

Bullet wildlife camera

Ideal for viewing bird feeders in front garden .I think the manual could be a bit clearer and split the ap and WiFi setup info .I will be looking for camera with zoom in the future but is great for starters .

Thank you for your feedback, Stephen!

Great WiFi camera

I bought this camera not knowing how good it was going to be as there were no reviews. I am really happy with it. The set up was easy the picture quality is great. I needed it for night mode mostly as I am keeping tract of hedgehogs in the garden. You can live stream off the app and choose clips to record that you can then save to your phone gallery. It’s made it so much easier for me to upgrade from trail camera to this
