• Ensure the camera works - Ensure the camera is working before you install it!
• Decide where to put the camera - Installing the corner bracket should be simple enough - each of our products has an informative video on our website about how to set it up! You may need to drill a hole into your garden wildlife kit to connect the camera to the power and connection cables. 
• Install the camera mount - All of our garden wildlife camera kits come with a camera mount, so you can simply install it in your bird box or hedgehog house.

It’s essential that you keep your camera clean; when furry or feathered friends come to visit, your home habitat can sometimes get a little messy. Keeping it all clean helps you see clearly through the camera, and keep any critters safe when they visit your garden. Here’s how to safely remove and clean your garden wildlife camera kit:

• Check the bird box or hedgehog house - before you start, make sure that your home habitat is free from any feathered or furry friends - you don’t want to accidentally hurt them! 
• Unplug all cables - Make sure to disconnect any wires, and if you’ve got one of our solar powered garden wildlife cameras, take special care when removing this. 
• Unscrew the mount - Carefully unscrew the camera mount, taking care not to damage the camera or the home habitat. 
• Take out the camera - Once everything is unplugged and unscrewed, you can safely remove the wildlife camera from the habitat. 
• Make sure the camera is unplugged and turned off - before you clean your garden wildlife camera, it’s essential that it isn’t connected to any mains. If it’s battery-powered, make sure the camera is switched off. 
• Wipe it clean - You can use a mild antibacterial solution on a cloth to wipe round the camera - taking care not to damage the lens. Make sure to avoid any harsh chemicals that could be toxic to local wildlife - natural and mild cleaning products are best. Wipe completely dry, and then reconnect to your home habitat.
