Features

The brand new OS Wild 4KDS Solar Wi-Fi Trail Camera features a huge step up in night image quality with the addition of a dedicated 13 megapixel Sony sensor. This gives a huge improvement over all other trail cameras currently on the market.

By using a larger sensor with high resolution and a fast aperture lens the image quality is unsurpassed.

This trail camera also features class leading specification and build quality to capture stunning images, 4K 30FPS video and a built in colour 2.5″ display.

With IP66 waterproofing, 0.35 second trigger time, 20 metre night vision IR range, 120 degree field of view and 8-12 month standby time with 8 AA batteries the OS Wild 4KDS Wi-Fi Trail Camera provides the user with a trail camera they can rely on.

This trail camera features a built in Wi-Fi hotspot for watching wildlife in real time, transferring photos and video to your phone/tablet, and changing camera settings remotely up to around 10-15 metres away.

Finally, and for the first time, this trail camera features a built-in solar panel. We have extensively tested this solar panel and a battery life of 3 years between charges is achievable in the right conditions.

Keep a close eye on the wildlife visiting your garden with the OS Wild 4K Solar Wi-Fi Trail Camera. Designed for wildlife enthusiasts, it lets you capture detailed photos and video day and night without disturbing the animals you're watching.

The camera uses a dual-sensor design, with a 13MP daytime sensor for detailed colour images and a 2MP Starlight sensor for low-light and infrared recording. Capture photos at up to 48MP and record 4K video at 30fps, giving you plenty of detail for identifying everything from garden birds to visiting mammals.

A fast 0.3-second trigger helps capture wildlife as it moves through the detection area, with PIR detection covering up to 120° and detecting movement up to 20m away.

Solar powered for longer-term wildlife watching

The built-in rechargeable battery and integrated solar panel make this camera well suited to leaving outdoors for extended periods. In our testing, we've seen around 6 months of battery life when recording approximately 50 images per day in typical UK temperatures of 0–25°C. Battery performance will vary outside this temperature range and depending on how often the camera records, video length and other settings.

In some setups, users have found the solar model can run for 12–18 months between charges, particularly when the camera is mainly used at night. This makes it a great choice for monitoring wildlife activity over long periods with minimal maintenance.

The camera is also IP66 weather protected, making it suitable for outdoor use throughout the year.

Check your wildlife from your phone

The WILDLIFE CAM app connects directly to the camera from your phone or tablet. You can view the camera live, change settings and transfer photos and videos without needing home broadband or an internet connection. The wireless connection works at approximately 10m.
