Leofoto BV-5 Fluid Head with Extension Arm

When you're watching wildlife, things rarely stay still for long. A bird suddenly takes flight, a fox disappears behind a hedge or a deer slowly wanders across the field – and that's when smooth, controlled movement really matters. The Leofoto BV-5 Fluid Head makes it easier to follow those moments, helping you keep your camera or spotting scope pointed in the right direction without the jolts and jerks of a standard tripod head.

Its fluid-damped movement gives you a much smoother way to pan and tilt, so you can follow wildlife as it moves through your view while keeping your equipment steady. You can adjust the friction to suit what you're watching, whether you're making tiny movements to keep a distant bird in frame or smoothly tracking an animal walking across an open landscape.

The long 280mm handle gives you plenty of control from a comfortable position. It's particularly handy when you're following birds in flight, scanning across a woodland or filming wildlife, as you can guide the head gently rather than grabbing the camera or scope itself. The handle can also be positioned on either side to suit the way you like to use your setup.

There's plenty of freedom to explore your surroundings too. The BV-5 can rotate a full 360° and tilt from +90° to -75°, making it easy to move from the treetops down to ground-level wildlife without having to keep repositioning your tripod.

Despite being compact enough to take out on a wildlife walk, the BV-5 can support up to 4kg, so there's plenty of capacity for larger cameras, lenses and spotting scopes. At 528g, it also won't weigh your bag down unnecessarily when you're heading out for a few hours of wildlife watching.

An Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release system makes it simple to get your camera or scope attached and ready to go, while the built-in bubble level helps keep everything nicely aligned. The 50mm flat base and 3/8-inch tripod connection also make it a versatile addition to a range of wildlife-watching setups.

Whether you're watching garden birds, searching woodland for a shy fox or spending a morning scanning the countryside for deer, the BV-5 helps make those little moments easier to follow – and gives you a better chance of keeping them in view when the action starts.
