With the ability to transmit up to 300m (clear line of sight required), this kit is perfect for individuals with extensive gardens or those involved in specialised birdwatching, nature or wildlife projects, offering a wire-free connection.

Automatic wireless channel selector

The transmitter and receiver will automatically find the best channel to connect to for optimal performance.

Low usage digital frequency

The digital frequency of these long range wildlife cameras is nowhere near as busy as the ranges used for WiFi, phones, and the like, meaning less chance of interference.

12V connection

The included 12v lead allows you to run power up to 50 metres away (cable sold separately) - It's compatible with all our other Green feathers bird box and wildlife camera cables and accessories.

Infrared cut

The infrared cut provides crisper black-and-white images in the dark.

LED Night Vision

Night vision means you don't have to stop when the sun goes down. The invisible infrared LEDs emit not glow, so you won't disturb the animals while you enjoy their antics.

Wide-Angle Lens

The wide-angle lens provides a huge field of view. It's designed for use in enclosed spaces such as bird boxes and hedgehog habitats.

HD 1080p recording

Our Long Range Owl Camera Pack is ideal for those with large gardens or rural land who want to watch owls and other birds of prey from a discreet distance. It allows you to place a camera well away from the house, where owls feel most secure, while still enjoying a reliable live view back at home.

The included long-range transmitter and receiver can achieve impressive distances with a clear line of sight. While we conservatively quote a range of up to 300 m, greater distances are often possible in ideal conditions. Performance will depend on terrain and obstructions, but for most installations this range is easily achievable.

The transmitter and receiver work almost as effectively as a physical cable, yet are far easier to install than long-range panel Wi-Fi systems. A single 12V power lead runs both the camera and transmitter together, reducing cable clutter and simplifying setup. The transmitter is fully waterproof, so it can be mounted outdoors in the best position for a clear line of sight.

This compact system is designed to work with any compatible IP camera, making it perfect for monitoring owl boxes, barns, trees, or other remote locations. Owls naturally avoid the noise and activity of residential areas, preferring quieter sites to roost and hunt. Whether you’re hoping to attract a barn owl to a barn or monitor an established owl territory further afield, this pack provides a reliable way to observe owls where they feel most at home.

Can I watch live footage on my smartphone or tablet?

Yes! The free app allows you to stream the camera live.
Which devices does the Green Feathers app work with?

The Green Feathers app works on iPhones, iPads(using iPhone compatibility mode) and Android phones and tablets. The app supports iOS 11.0 or later and Android 6.0 or later. Kindle devices are not currently supported.
Will it work on a Mac?

If you have an M1 or M2 version Mac, you'll be able to view via the Green Feathers app with some work.
Will it work on my TV?

This camera is not designed to work on TVs unlike some of our other cameras that wire into the back of the TV. However, the app does work on Apple TV and may also work on some smart TVs that support Android apps.
My camera is warming up, is this bad?

It is perfectly normal for the camera to feel warm to the touch while in operation. Don’t worry this won’t harm any nesting birds or sleepy hedgehogs!
Can the camera record? For how long?

Due to the camera being waterproof it does not have an SD card slot. Therefore, we suggest subscribing to our cloud storage on the Green Feathers app. We offer both 14 day and 30 day storage plans which can be billed monthly or annually.
