Get a closer look at the wildlife visiting your garden with the HIKMICRO T16 4G Trail Camera. Whether you’re curious about what visits after dark, want to discover which animals are passing through your garden, or simply enjoy watching wildlife without disturbing it, the T16 makes it easy to capture what happens when you’re not there.
With 24MP photos, Full HD 1080P video and discreet 940nm no-glow night vision, the T16 can capture wildlife clearly both day and night. Its infrared illumination is invisible to most wildlife, so animals can go about their natural behaviour without being startled by a bright flash or visible red glow.
One of the T16’s most useful features for wildlife watching is its Dual-FOV lens system. You can choose between a 60° field of view for a more focused view or a 100° wide-angle view when you want to cover a larger area.
This makes it easy to tailor the camera to your garden or wildlife spot. Use the narrower view along a regularly used animal trail, or switch to the wider view to capture activity around a feeding area, hedgehog house or open section of garden.
The camera has a 25m detection range, with dual PIR sensors and a rapid 0.4-second trigger speed. This means it can quickly react when an animal enters the detection area, helping you capture those fleeting moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Night-time is when some of our most elusive garden visitors come out. The T16 uses 940nm no-glow infrared LEDs to record discreet black-and-white footage after dark, without the visible flash that can disturb wildlife.
During daylight, the camera automatically switches to colour recording, while at night it changes to infrared. It can capture 1080P, 720P or WVGA video, with audio recording also available, so you can see and hear more of what is happening around your camera.
Thanks to 4G connectivity, you don’t need to be standing next to the camera to see what it has captured. The T16 can send photos and videos remotely, allowing you to check on wildlife from your phone — particularly useful if the camera is positioned at the bottom of the garden, on an allotment or somewhere further afield.
Through the HIKMICRO Sight App, you can view images and videos, check the camera’s status, adjust settings and manage transmission options. The app also provides a Wi-Fi real-time preview, making it much easier to position the camera correctly and check that you have the wildlife activity you want in frame before leaving it in place.
An integrated multi-roaming SIM helps the camera stay connected across supported regions, while flexible data plans are available through the app.
The T16 has 64GB of built-in storage, giving you plenty of space for photographs and videos without needing to add a separate memory card. Keeping the storage built into the camera also means there’s one less removable component to worry about when your camera is out in the garden or countryside.
Wildlife watching often means leaving a camera outside whatever the weather, so the T16 has an IP66 weather-resistant housing designed for outdoor use. It operates in temperatures from -20°C to 55°C, making it suitable for monitoring wildlife throughout the changing seasons.
For longer-term wildlife projects, the camera can also be powered using an external 12V/2A DC supply, with optional solar power solutions available. This can be particularly useful if you want to leave the camera monitoring a wildlife spot for extended periods without regularly changing batteries.
